In this Case Management course, you will learn skills designed to improve your ability to support either clients or other community support workers. This will develop your case management abilities by assessing a client’s diverse needs, supporting their access to services, or simply advocating for them.

You will also learn how to work in a range of positions in the community service industry while specialising in the specific areas of Case Management. This will give you the skills and also the confidence to pursue a career that will enrich the lives of others.

Duration

The CHCSS00073 Case Management Skill Set runs for four months, but you can complete it faster than this if you wish.

Delivery & Support

The course is delivered entirely online via e-learning, recorded videos, links, and downloadable tools and activities. In addition, you can attend optional periodic online group chat sessions hosted by Australian Industry experienced trainers and assessors.

Learners are required to undertake role-plays with their Assessor and have a supervisor in their community services/health field sign their third-party assessments to confirm tasks performed in the workplace.

There are four subjects in the CHCSS00073 Case Management Skill Set.

CHCCSM004 – Coordinate complex case requirements
CHCCSM005 – Develop, facilitate and review all aspects of case management
CHCCCS004 – Assess co-existing needs
CHCCSM006 – Provide case management supervision

Assessment

There are no exams in the CHCSS00073 Case Management Skill Set.

You test your learning by completing quiz questions and open book self-paced assessment activities throughout each subject. All subjects include a free re-submission if you are not successful on your first attempt.

You may also complete a range of ‘on the job’ workplace-based assessments or role-plays.

If you already have the skills and knowledge required to attain any (or all) of these subjects, you might like to enrol as ‘Assessment Only.’ This Recognition of Prior Learning means you don’t have to study those subjects again, instead just doing the assessments for a reduced course price.
