You will have the chance to attend weekly live online classes and also live chat sessions. During these, you will learn additional skills that will either clarify or enhance your learning from the course.

These weekly live classes and chat sessions will also allow you to ask questions and interact with fellow students.

Structure

Duration

The CHCSS00080 Induction to Leisure and Health Skill Set runs for 3 months, but you can complete it faster than this if you wish.

Delivery & Support

The course is delivered entirely online via e-learning, recorded videos, links, and downloadable tools and activities. In addition, you can attend optional periodic online group chat sessions hosted by Australian Industry experienced trainers and assessors.

Learners are required to have a supervisor in their community services/health field sign their third-party assessments to confirm tasks are performed in the workplace.

Subjects

There are three subjects in the CHCSS00080 Induction to Leisure and Health Skill Set.

CHCLAH001 – Work effectively in the leisure and health industries
CHCLAH002 – Contribute to leisure and health programming
CHCLAH003 – Participate in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of individual leisure and health programs

Assessment

There are no exams in the CHCSS00080 Induction to Leisure and Health Skill Set.

You test your learning by completing quiz questions and open book self-paced assessment activities throughout each subject. All subjects include a free re-submission if you are not successful on your first attempt.

You will also complete a range of ‘on the job’ workplace-based assessments and are required to complete 120 hours of placement.

If you already have the skills and knowledge required to attain any (or all) of these subjects, you might like to enrol as ‘Assessment Only’. This Recognition of Prior Learning means you don’t have to study those subjects again, instead just doing the assessments for a reduced course price.
